The first Seneca Diabetes Foundation Golf Classic was a great success! Held on August 15, 2005 at the Brierwood Country Club in Hamburg NY, the tournament set a local record, raising more than $250,000 for the SDF. The event brought together local celebrities, businesses and organizations to raise funds and awareness for one of the top health issues facing American Indians today. 

SDF Chairman Barry E. Snyder was the honorary chairman of the golf tournament.
The tournament was co-chaired by SDF Treasurer Maurice John, SDF Co-Chairmen Bergal Mitchell and Arnie Cooper and SDF Finance Chairman Michael R. Militello.
